Stoutness at Summer’s End

A friend and I just began our might-as-well-be-annual weight loss bet, so when my son and I ran across this poem I knew I had to post it. It’s from A.A. Milne’s book of children’s verse, When We Were Very Young, which really contains some very clever poems.

In this one, we are introduced to Mr. Edward Bear — not yet known as “Pooh.”
